Pada 6 Februari 2009 Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja SMP Negeri 1 Balikpapan mengadakan survey lingkungan gabungan dengan 3 sekolah yang berada di distrik yang sama. Kami melakukan survey ke Pantai Monumen Balikpapan. Tujuan kami adalah memasang pipa biopori secara tersebar, selain itu kami juga membersihkan daerah sekitar Pantai Monumen.
At February 6th 2009, Scientific Club of SMP Negeri 1 Balikpapan held an environment survey with 3 others school from the same area. We did survey to Munomen Beach of Balikpapan. Our purpose was to placing some Biopori pipes around there, and we also cleaned up around Monumen Beach area.

Saya harap akan ada kesempatan lagi untuk melakukan survey lingkungan lainnya.
I hope there'll be another time to held another environment survey.
